Catherine Medick graduated from Albion College with majors in biology and psychology. She received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She completed a thesis on Locus of Control and its relationship to anxiety. Her mental health experience includes providing counseling services at Milan Federal Correctional Institution; outpatient therapy in the city of Detroit and Monroe, Michigan; foster care and adoption services with the state of Michigan; and providing home-based therapy with a team of professionals to adolescents in Monroe County

Other experiences include a strong background in teaching in the education field. She is a certified teacher in elementary and special education and taught in the public-school systems in Carleton and Riverview, Michigan. These experiences provide an understanding of the developmental progression of children and adolescents. Her work provided many opportunities to work with children and their families. Her goal of teaching is ensuring each student fulfill their potential and to make learning fun!
At her Marquette office she provides mental health services to adolescents, young and mature women. Her focus is “problems in living.” She participates with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network. A self-pay rate is available.
